In 2010 I wanted to create a spoof magazine to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday. I could find lots of companies offering fake magazine covers but none that offered multiple page magazines.

So I made one myself from scratch, following the style of her favourite magazine and she loved it. I was taken aback by the really positive feedback from all her friends and our family and I realised that I loved seeing my photographs come to life on the printed page. So I created several more:

• A football magazine capturing the best bits of my son’s birthday party given out as a belated goody bag gift to all his friends. It was really popular at school: one boy actually believed he was in a real magazine and several boys took their magazines in for ‘show and tell’.
• A gift for my best friend capturing the highlights of a much needed weekend away.
• A keepsake of our summer holiday with fun ‘editorial’ to remind us of the highlights.

I was asked to create three more magazines as part of the fund raising activities for our childrens’ football clubs. We printed lots of copies and sold them at a nice profit making it fun and worthwhile!

From there I decided to create a wide range of magazine titles and offer them for sale. And here we are....
